I am a multi-disciplinary designer and art director with a B.S. in Graphic Design from Champlain College. Originally from Massachusetts, I've spent the past 9+ years in California collaborating with big brands, disruptive startups, and wonderful individuals. My experience spans entertainment, tech, e-commerce, SaaS, and nonprofits. I draw inspiration from personal experiences β relationships, travel, movies, video games, and nature. Raised by parents in both healthcare and the fine arts, I have a deep appreciation for organization, simplicity, and aesthetics.
Forever curious, always learning.
Design is the process of going from an existing condition to a desired one. To design is to communicate clearly. How we approach design depends on our audience. Alongside the practice of design (and the creative profession as a whole) is its measurable impact. The quote by Dr. Fontana resonates because of the power we as creatives possess, the ability to turn subconscious attraction into conscious appreciation. We simultaneously communicate with broad audiences and individuals with the intention of a desired outcome. These intimate conversations must be executed from a foundation of respect, empathy, and honesty.
"We also detect the power of symbols in the creative arts, in painting, in music and in poetry (certain sounds and words carry symbolic meaning just as do certain shapes). This is one reason why the creative arts have such a power to stimulate the imagination, and to stir us in ways that simple representational material cannot do. Symbols allow the creative artist access to our inner being, allowing him or her to communicate directly to us in an inner shorthand that brings a profound sense of knowing, even when we do not know exactly what it is we know."

When working with me you are empowered to work autonomously, to raise and drive ideas that you uncover alongside partners. When leading, my role is to balance opinionated guidance with empowerment and individual decision-making. Working with me means you are expected to share your approaches and knowledge by working transparently, sharing in-progress work early and often.
I believe the absolute best way to do meaningful work is to work with others, so I prioritize collaboration over individual work. The teams I work with balance unique ideas and proactive action toward measurable outcomes. If the team fails, I donβt view such situations as finite or defining. Rather, failure is a chance for us to learn something and adapt to what we do next.
